We believe that collaborative and inclusive urban design can improve quality of life for all Chattanoogans, including children! Design Your Neighborhood teaches middle school youth how to creatively problem-solve neighborhood issues while building awareness and exposure to the world around them.
Design Your Neighborhood is a project-based curriculum that can easily be embedded in classrooms under Tennessee state standards for Visual Arts, Science, and ELA.

We have partnered with Design Your Neighborhood, and our friends at the Nashville Civic Design Center, to establish this curriculum in Chattanooga. We are excited to continue to collaborate with teachers to provide opportunities for students to connect with and take action in their community.
